My fear of dogs is becoming monumental. Clithrophobia, fear of being enclosed. Cynophobia, fear of dogs. I would say my fears are more correctly terminologised as Clithrocynophobia. The fear of being enclosed with a dog. I'm quite ok with dogs existing at quite a distance from me. And yes, i like making new words.
A couple days ago, i was going out and was waiting for the lift. The door opened, and there was a lady with her dog in the lift. The lady might have been a babe, but i didn't really notice her. I passed on the lift and my heart really was beating faster ya noe.
I remember another time which was almost similar. There was a woman inside the lif with a huge dog. The main difference was that the dog was barking and growling verily fiercely in my opinion. But the woman waved me in, "It's ok." she said. I don't know why she thought the situation was ok, when the dog was quite ready to bite my head off the moment i stepped into the lift.
I figure that dog owners are so in love with their dogs, that the thought of them tearing my flesh to bits seems quite impossible to them. Hmm... dogs must be holy... they can smell the evil in me.

i think you should start taking care of cats intead of dogs..
ReplyDeletepersonally, i think i shouldn't take care of any animals. I used to keep fishes, but they decided that it was so bad they had to leave home by jumping out of the tank.
ReplyDeleteCommon reasons for jumpiness:
ReplyDelete1. pH of the water isn't right. Different species need different pH. Check with your aquarium shop owner what kind of water your fish needs. pH can then be adjusted by using appropriate materials in your tank.
2. Fish feel insecure. Tank may be overcrowded, or lack sufficient hiding/resting places. You need plants, rocks etc.
Yeah... i was using tap water with no pump... And the plant gets eaten up...
ReplyDeleteIf your fish eats plants, then you need Java Ferns. Somehow most fish refuse to eat Java ferns, they must taste quite bad.
ReplyDeleteNeed a pump or aerator. Indispensable.
What about fin nibbling? After the fishes died, i bought three baby angelfishes. The bigger sized kept nibbling on the smaller ones til they died. Then the big one die too, maybe from lonliness or something. Were they like agitated or hungry or something?
ReplyDeleteWell, firstly, big fish tend to go after small fish. One of the things to think about when selecting your fish.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, some species are more aggressive than others. Angelfish are actually quite aggressive fish. Another aggro & common type of fishes - African cichlids.
The more peaceful species are the guppies, swordtails, danios, plecos (suckerfish) and platies. Oh, and goldfish, of course.
Overcrowding and lack of food lead to increased aggression. But some fish are just aggressive by nature. Will be aggressive towards others no matter what you do.
Angelfish won't die of loneliness. Must have died from something else. Maybe water quality wasn't managed properly.
Fish that don't do well alone are the kind that naturally swim in schools. Like neon tetras and danios. Other fish can live happily on their own.
