There is nothing more regretful than missed opportunites. *pause for a dramatic effect* Ok, since my couzin commented that my entries sounded kind of sad of late, i'll talk about something else. But also related :p (Oh, i've removed the unkymoods, since it wasn't like gonna change :p)

I flipped today's newspapers and realised that the vertical marathon was over. The punchline read, kym ng prance like a deer and hung lu jiang slogged like a pig, in lu jiang's own words. The photograph showed them yay-ing to publicity at the finish line. And they forgot to do the article on the bandit that never even made it to the start line :(

And so it is with regret that i look at the photograph, of not daring to pick up the challenge for fear of breaking my knees. But then, i don't see a difference when comparing it to not training for my 42km. Surely climbing afew steps ain't that hard right? Okie, maybe it is hard, but i really should have gone for it.

People from the brighter world of rainbows and dreams come true would think that optimistic people would say something like, "Oh nevermind, there's always next year." All i can tell them is to read my msn messenger nick. For the benefit of those who does not have msn, or have msn and chooses not to add me, my nick goes like this, "A little helloooooo from the darkside."

That's right, saying "Oh nevermind, there's always next year." is not being optimistic. Saying that is being foolish. The optimistic person would say something like, "I'll not miss the next opportunity that comes around." The difference lies in that there's always another year, another day, but not always another opportunity.

That being said, it's lucky that i'm not foolish. Coz i'm pessimistic :D :p
