The Three Steps of Forgiveness
Step one is the recognition that the problem is not outside but rather inside us...
Step two may be even harder than the first one. We must recognise that it is our decision to keep the problem –– the guilt –– in place...
Step three, the final one, is taken by the Holy Spirit himself, at our invitation...
A fundamental flaw in Christianity is that it is based on a supernatural "sky daddy" forgiving his followers. As seen in the first two steps towards forgiveness, is the induction of the feeling of guilt into a person. A normal person with no delusions of sin, would not see the need for asking for forgiveness. So to convert a person, the evangelist must first cause the person to feel guilty.
If anyone is wondering what is so wrong about the religion, it is that the religion teaches the concept of sin. An unneccessary concept that is detrimental to a person's psychological health by causing the person to feel shameful and guilty over simply being alive. One must realise that teaching a person that he iss guilty of existence simply for being born, is not a moral thing to do.
By definition of sin as something utterly wrong and a transgression of moral law, humans are not born sinful, rather teaching sin is sinful.

Total despair, purposelessness, futility of hope, no hope, desperation... Aparrently, if i do not believe in God, all these must come to me... how nice.

You should read Mihaly Csikzentmihalyi - on the making of meaning in life in a secular world. Food for thought ...
